InvestigatorX is a clinical-research referral and pre-screening service designed to help individuals learn about potential clinical-research opportunities and connect interested individuals with participating research sites.
2. InvestigatorX Is Not a Healthcare Provider
InvestigatorX does not provide medical advice, medical diagnosis or medical treatment. Information provided through InvestigatorX should not replace advice from your physician or other qualified healthcare professional. Questions concerning your health, medications or medical treatment should be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.
3. Clinical-Trial Eligibility
Completing an InvestigatorX referral or pre-screen does not mean that you qualify for a clinical trial. InvestigatorX may identify studies that appear potentially relevant based upon information provided to us. The research site conducting the study is responsible for formal screening and determining eligibility.
4. No Guarantee of Enrollment
InvestigatorX does not guarantee that a particular study will be available, that a research site will accept a referral, that an individual will qualify for a study, that an individual will be enrolled, or that participation will result in any particular medical or health outcome. Clinical studies may change, pause recruitment or close enrollment at any time.
5. Voluntary Participation
Using InvestigatorX and expressing interest in clinical research are voluntary. Submitting a referral does not obligate anyone to participate in a clinical trial. A patient may decide not to proceed with a potential research opportunity.
6. Accuracy of Information
Users should provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge. InvestigatorX relies upon information provided by patients, healthcare professionals, family members, caregivers and other referral sources when performing preliminary matching. Formal medical and eligibility verification is performed by the research site.
7. Referring Another Person
If you submit information about another person, you represent that you have an appropriate basis to make the referral and provide the information submitted. Submitting a referral does not authorize InvestigatorX to enroll the person in research. InvestigatorX may need to contact the patient or an authorized representative to obtain permission before additional pre-screening, disclosure or referral activities occur. Healthcare providers and healthcare organizations remain responsible for complying with their own privacy, confidentiality and other legal obligations when submitting patient information.
8. Research Sites
Participating research sites are responsible for their own clinical activities, including formal screening, medical evaluation, informed consent, eligibility decisions and study enrollment. InvestigatorX does not control those decisions.
9. Website Availability
InvestigatorX may modify, suspend or discontinue portions of the website or service when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, regulatory, operational or business purposes.
10. Third-Party Services
InvestigatorX may provide information about or links to research sites or other third-party organizations. Those organizations maintain their own websites, services, privacy practices and terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
InvestigatorX may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page.
